LUKOIL. KORCHAGIN OFFSHORE ICE-RESISTANT FIXED PLATFORM

BRIEF FACTS

Korchagin offshore ice-resistant fixed platform was installed in the third quarter of 2009. 26 producing wells, 3 water­injection wells, 1 gas-injection well were drilled at oilfield. The accommodation blосk with helicopter landing deck rated for 105 persons habitation ms installed оп the separate supporting foundation. Oil from oilfield named after Yuri Korchagin will соте through the underwater pipeline the length of which is 58 km to the marine transshipment complex that includes floating storage unit and single point mooring. Reserves of Korchagin oilfield are estimated as 28,8 mln tons of oil and 63,3 bln m³ of gas.

OBJECTIVE

The objective is а reliable trunk communication providing. Also it is simultaneous support of several talk groups at different parts of platform, consistent reception in all zones of the platform аnd around it. The objective is communication equipment in water-protected and frost proof design that meets all explosion prevention requirements concerning special character of oil extraction in open sea.

ACCOMPLISНED WORKS

Communication system meeting all abovementioned requirements was designed bу LEO ТЕLECOM Соmрапу. Equipment delivery, assemblage, start up and commissioning works аnd commissioning of the system of professional digital trunk radio communication were performed оп the base of Kenwood Nexedge equipment. Certification of explosion proof subscriber's equipment was performed. Distributed antenna feeder system covers all platform zones including internal facilities аnd premises hardly accessible for radio signal.

COMPLETED FACILITIES

Kenwood Nexedge radio communications system. 5 channels of 1 basic station, dispatch centre, more than 100 subscribers.

RESULTS

Marine oil platform is а highly dangerous facility апd much more attention is paid to security here. Radio communications system is created at full respect for the standards of industrial security. It meets all presented criteria fully. Kenwood Nexedge digital equipment showed the unique penetrating possiЫlity of the radio signal that is better than existed similar equipment worldwide according to results of tests carried out together with the customer works concerning the implementing of this solution are carried out nomdays at other drilling platforms of PJSC Lukoil.
